First Haircut Photos

Ella got her first haircut back in August (click HERE to read about it) and now I finally have some pics to show of it. I think it might be time for another snippet soon.  Mrs. Heather was so impressed with how still Ella sat and how patient she was. I reminded her bribery (especially suckers) will get you everywhere with her. Ella's hair was twice as long on top as the sides and back and Heather took off atleast a couple of inches so it would match the rest of her head. The sides and back just got the dead ends taken off so hopefully the hair would grow faster. 

Kids....they grow too, too fast.  I can't believe she will be THREE in two months.

Cathedral Caverns

If you've never been to Cathedral Caverns, it's worth a visit! We went on Columbus Day and Ella loved it. The path is concrete with hand rails all the way through and it's a humid 60 degrees year round. It's a newer state park so everything is nice and updated.

New Beginnings

A lot of changes have been going on at work.  Our whole admin group and even engineers have had role changes, moves, and additions to their already full plate.  Months ago, I attended training for a new budgeting software being implemented by our government counterparts next door.  Jason mentioned to our boss that it sounded like something he'd like to do.  His wish was granted.  Almost a month ago, we learned we'd both be changing positions but it would be the same position.  We feel blessed because it's a promotion for both of us and overall great news for our family.  We moved into our new digs (giving up our offices for the cube life) and we're liking it so far.  The challenge has been the work since it's brand new to everyone and getting information entered has been all we've been doing.  But things are progressing and I think it's something we'll really both enjoy.  Maybe now I can dream about our next home purchase with a little more reality. :-)

The Ferris Wheel

I posted a few fair pictures in my last post (we went back in September).  But the ferris wheel deserved it's own post.  I was excited. I could cozy up to Jason and enjoy seeing my city from far up.  But, oh, it was too far up. And when was this designed? 1967? Okay...can we just drop out of the line.  Get a grip, Tina.  Kids under 10 are riding this (I told myself).  I suddenly realized two things 1) I don't like riding in metal buckets with no protection over my head and 2) If Jason sneezed (possibility of 80%), we could rock backwards and simply fall out.  Seventy-five feet up.  I kept my eyes closed most of the time. I did manage to take one picture from the top. I won't be getting back on a ferris wheel. Ever.

 Okay, so I left out the part about a 2009 renovation....

The view from the top. I'm surprised this wasn't blurry, with my hand shaking and all. The yellow, horizontal lines to the left was the "Banana Slide" and Ella cried when we had to leave because of this.  You sit on this potato sack-ish type fabric with your kid in your lap and hope you don't slide off. It went really fast, but it was fun.  Ella giggled all the way down.

Summer & Fall Pics

My placeholder trick worked! Here are some pictures of Miss Ella Bella from the summer and then at the fair in September.  We went to Cathedral Caverns yesterday and I'll have pictures and stories from that later.  Let's hope I won't have to use another placeholder. :-)

 With Papa (Jason's Dad) at the fair in September. Overall, she wasn't very thrilled with the fair. But we did take home a goldfish...."Nemo".  Unfortunately, Nemo went "bye bye". Thank goodness she didn't ask a lot of questions about that.

I'm sorry, but how cute is my kid??? :-)

Placeholder

Two things I've been horrible at blogging about lately 1) Ella. 2) Pictures.  So...I created this little nifty placeholder as a reminder for me to nab those pics off my camera and think of all the funny stuff Ella has been saying lately.  She is almost three going on twenty-five most days.
