Craft Update

Back in my March post regarding steak recipes, I threw in a few craft ideas. See how scatterbrained I am? Please don't respond. Anywho, I did get around to making that no sew tutu for Kaylynn's 4th birthday party and how fitting that it was a Pinkalicious party? I don't have pictures but this cost $10 to make and took about 45 minutes, but I think you could do it quicker. It does take time to cut out 6 yards of tulle though. I had also mentioned wanting to make a jewelry display out of wire and a picture frame. I still like that idea but just haven't had the time to do it. So, I think it's still in the works for sometime in the future.  I was still thinking about my jewelry conundrum when I ran across this Pottery Barn steal yesterday.

Not only was it super cheap, but they offered free shipping. My total was only $10.54! I sure love a good bargain.

A Hunting We Will Go

Hi everyone! So, it's been awhile since I posted about us. Let's see, Easter was fun. Ella is at a wonderful age and egg hunting was just thrilling for her. We are still working on mastering the potty. Heck, just sitting on the potty would be nice! She is growing taller and bigger everyday. It really is nothing short of amazing.

Work is, um...work. :-) We're blessed to have jobs and blessed that we enjoy them.  Jason is hoping to start school this fall and get our master plan started (cue meniacal laughter). We've also just recently start house hunting. Let me tell ya....it's interesting.  We need and want to stay in the same area (Mountain Cove). For our area and price range, it's slim pickings. So, we might build. We might not. Just pray, okay? We'll need it either way. Ha!

At the beginning of this year, I started a year long reading plan through the Bible. And it has been so much more than I would've thought. I read a few chapters each night on my Kindle (my favorite thing--I'll have to post about that later) and it's amazing what I get out of it. I highly recommend doing it if you never have. There are plenty of resources and you can pick a plan that's right for you.

And we were very, very blessed to have survived the past tornados.  Talk about eventful for the state of Alabama, but not in a good way.  We had no damage and no injuries. Same story for our extended family. We have been counting our blessings so much lately. God has given us much and we just have to say thank you!
